About DE-SIGN

DE-SIGN INC. is a team dedicated to "Creating Strategic Workplaces"
with a business-centric approach to project management and creative design.

OUR ROOTSOur Roots

In 1998, we started our business with the aim of creating client-oriented workplaces.
Subsequently, we first established our business within a consulting firm specializing in human resource planning.
Since then, we have consistently worked to solve management issues through workplace creation.

2000

Established as the Workplace Division
of Link and Motivation Inc.

Having experienced a synergy between the act of creating places and resolving human resourcing issues,
we contributed in bringing business to Link and Motivation Inc. soon after our founding.

2004

Established Link Place Inc.
as a business subsidiary.

We created many "strategic workplaces" that utilize office space as a catalyst for achieving business strategy objectives.

2012

Became independent from Link and Motivation Group through an MBO.
Company name changed to DE-SIGN INC.

Our company name was changed to DE-SIGN INC., extending the word “design” to represent our intent to broaden the value of design.

2013

Established Place Management Institute
(formerly, DE-SIGN Real Estate Institute)

We established a research institute for survey development, analysis, and utilization.

2014

Conducted a business branch-off
of FaMil Inc.
(formerly, DS Facilities Inc.)

After the business branch-off, the company name was changed to FaMil, which includes the meaning of "miru", "seeing" office facilities with various perspectives in mind.

2016

Established andONE Inc.
(formerly, Sanbow Inc.)

We provide human resource services aimed at revitalizing communities with people at the core.

2018

Transitioned our organization
to a group management structure.

We transitioned to a structure of three operating companies with DE-SIGN Group Inc. as the platform company that supports the activities of the overall business group.

The DE-SIGN GROUP’s mission is “to drive hataraku” through services centered around “places,” “people,” and “mechanisms.”

From “Work” to “Hataraku.”
Diversification of work styles, including side jobs and multi-location activities.
Liberation from negative perceptions such as labor, duty, and drudgery.
A new concept of work that encompasses collaborative creation and learning with others.
A world where everyone can approach their work with joy, initiative, and vitality.

To lead at the forefront of such changes and play a role in further accelerating them, we, ourselves, are working on "Hataraku" every day.

PHILOSOPHYPHILOSOPHY

“Environment” affects “Behavior,”
and “Behavior” affects “Mentality.”

Companies have a need to change the mentalities of their employees as they go through change.
DE-SIGN believes that the most effective way to change mentality is to change the everyday working environment.

Working environment refers to “the physical environment,” “ICT environment,” and “operational environment.”
These changes lead to changes in employee behavior and eventually shape a new mentality.
That is why we take the approach of first considering together with the client on how they hope to eveolve the mentality and behavior of employees; then working backward to build the environment to support that evolution.

Behavior often changes according to the environment, and this, in turn, changes people's mentalities. This, in turn, changes behavior again and changes the environment.
For sustainable growth, this cyclical relationship is vital.
